Music plays in the kitchen, then dies in the hallway. The patio has nothing. A speaker sits on a shelf with a cord you can see. Whole-home audio installation puts music in the rooms you actually use, controlled from one place, with the wires hidden when possible. SmartHome Connect installs whole home audio across Kansas City and Johnson County.

The problem with music that stays in one room
You bought a speaker for the living room. It sounds fine there. The bedroom, the office, and the patio are still quiet. Another speaker means another app, another cord, and another thing to charge.
In-ceiling speakers sound like a remodel. You don't want holes in a finished ceiling until you know the layout.
Your home should have music where you want it, and it should just work. You shouldn't have to become the installer to hear a song in the kitchen.

Why homeowners call Dan
Handing someone your ceilings and your walls is a big ask. You want the rooms to match, and you want the music on before we leave.
Dan has 15+ years of experience. SmartHome Connect has been in Lenexa since 2018. Over 175 Google reviews at 4.9 stars.
"Dan was very helpful with the design and finish of my basement entertainment room. He mounted 4 TVs and was able to set up the sound system, back lighting, and Apple TV boxes. Would recommend him 10 times out of 10." — Ryan D.
Wireless, wired, or both
Whole home audio in Kansas City is not one product. Some homes want Sonos in a few rooms and nothing in the walls. Some want in-ceiling speaker installation so the speakers disappear. Some want both. We plan that with you, then we install it.
Wireless multi-room often starts with Sonos. Rooms can play the same song or different ones. You add a room later without opening every wall. Looking for a Sonos installer in Overland Park or anywhere in Johnson County? We place the speakers, connect them, and leave the app set up on your phone.
Wired in-ceiling and in-wall speakers are for rooms where you don't want a speaker on a shelf. We mark the spots, cut only where the plan says, and run the wire in the wall or ceiling when the construction allows it. If a spot can't hide the wire, we say so before we cut. Wire molding can be painted to match the wall.
A hybrid system uses both. The patio might be a wireless speaker. The living room and bedrooms might be in-ceiling. One app runs the rooms when the gear supports it. If two brands can't share one app, we'll tell you that before you buy.
Outdoor and patio speakers get the same plan. Weather, where people sit, and how the wire gets outside all matter.
Brands we install
We install Sonos, KEF, JBL, Denon, and Definitive Technology. Need the gear? We can supply it, or install what you already own. If you want a recommendation, we'll say what fits the rooms. If you bought something else, send the model and we'll tell you if we can set it up.
How it works
1. Call, text, or tell us which rooms you want music in
The room list is enough to start. A photo helps if you have one. Call or text (913) 674-9723. Hours are Mon–Sat 8 AM–8 PM, Sun 12–5 PM.
2. Get a clear quote and pick a time
You get the price before the visit. Wireless, in-ceiling, hybrid, and patio work are quoted from the rooms, not guessed at the door. Weekday appointments are usually 11am, 2pm, or 5pm. Saturday is 10am, 12pm, or 2pm.
3. Enjoy a clean, finished setup
The speakers are in. The app is on your phone. Wires are hidden when the rooms allow it. You play music that night.

Whole-home audio questions
What is whole-home audio?
Music in more than one room, playing together or on its own, from one control. That can be wireless, like Sonos, or speakers in the ceiling and walls, or a mix.
Do you do in-ceiling speaker installation?
Yes. We plan the spots, cut only where the plan says, and run the wire in the ceiling or wall when possible. If a spot can't hide the wire, we tell you before we cut.
Are you a Sonos installer in Overland Park?
Yes. We install Sonos in Overland Park and across the Kansas City metro. We place the speakers, connect them, and leave the app set up on your phone.
Can some rooms be wireless and some wired?
Yes. That's a hybrid system. The patio can be wireless while the living room is in-ceiling. If the brands can't share one app, we say so before you buy.
Do you install outdoor and patio speakers?
Yes. We plan for weather, where people sit, and how the wire gets outside. Tell us if the patio is covered or open.
Which speaker brands do you install?
Sonos, KEF, JBL, Denon, and Definitive Technology. Need the gear? We can supply it, or install what you already own. If you bought something else, send the model and we'll tell you if we can set it up.
Do you hide the wires?
Yes, when possible. Some runs go inside the wall or ceiling. Some need a cover. If we use wire molding, we can paint it to match the wall. We don't promise in-wall hiding on every job.
What do you need from me to get a quote?
Tell us which rooms you want music in, and what gear you already own. A photo of a room or the patio helps. Call or text (913) 674-9723.
