TV Mounting in Olathe, KS
Newer Olathe homes are built around one wall: a decorative fireplace with a TV spot above it. The builder leaves an outlet up there and nothing else. The question is how to get a heavy TV on that stone safely, at a height your neck can live with.
Olathe's go-to for over-fireplace TVs
I'm Dan with SmartHome Connect. I've installed TVs for more than 15 years and have mounted more than 400 in Olathe, from Cedar Creek to Timberstone Ridge and High Meadows. Olathe is where I install more MantelMount pull-down mounts than anywhere else, because so many fireplaces here put the TV too high to watch comfortably.
Pick the right mount for your fireplace
- Fixed or tilting mount when the TV sits at a comfortable height. Over-fireplace installs usually run $225–$400.
- MantelMount pull-down when the TV sits high. It lowers to eye level and goes back up after. $850–$1,000 manual or $1,050–$1,200 motorized, mount included.
- Samsung Frame TV mounted flush, so it looks like framed art when it's off. We can supply the TV too.
Not sure which fits? Read our guide to mounting a TV over a fireplace, or just send a photo and I'll tell you.
Everything else, priced up front
Basic mounting starts at $150. Hiding the TV cables is included. Add-ons: an outlet to hide the power cord from $200, longer HDMI cables from $25, and soundbars $100–$250. You get a firm price before work starts.
